Ghosts This Is Halloween Challenge day 8

I'm a few hours late on this one.  I was getting ready to publish a Halloween post when I remembered Monday was a challenge day, and ghosts, at that, which I was stumped on.  When I made the realization, we were on our way to see Adam Ant, so I had no time to do challenge nails.

I decided to do craft store micro bead ghosties!  I have three coats of the purple glow-in-the-dark pumpkin polish with China Glaze White On White making the ghost shapes, then silver micro beads on top of that.  I used black/greenish glitter circles for the eyes.

Dollish Polish We're Simply Meant To Be

We're Simply Meant To Be is from the Dollish Polish This Is Halloween collection, all polishes are inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.  This one has the colors of Sally, blue, burgundy, black and gold in a clear base.

I enjoy building up a lot of glitter, so this is three coats over two coats of Zoya Perrie.

This is a unique glitter with great colors, it really does look like Sally in a bottle.  I will have three other Dollish Polish This Is Halloween polishes coming up before Halloween.

Once Upon A Time Whimsical Nail Polish by Pam

This by far will be the prettiest Halloween manicure I will be wearing this month!  Here is another Hallowhimsey, Once Upon A Time from Whimsical Nail Polish by Pam.

This is two coats of Once Upon A Time over 3 coats of piCture pOlish/Llarowe White Wedding.

Like Wicked, reviewed here, the formula is great on this polish.  Once Upon A Time has purple and green pastel glitter in a clear base.

This is so much more stunning in person!  This is a best polish nominee for the Halloween manicures this month.

piCture pOlish Whte Wedding

This is White Wedding, a color collaboration between piCture pOlish and Llarowe.  This beautiful polish is a white jelly with with an iridescent shimmer in it.

It's really hard to get a picture of the shimmer, this was the best I could do.  This was about 4 coats of polish.  White Wedding is available exclusively at Llarowe.

This Is Halloween Challenge Day 5 Water Marble

Today's challenge is water marble.  I had never done this before, and while I like the way it looks, I've been hesitant to try it because of the mess involved.  So, this challenge was good since I had to give it a try.

This was done with the China Glaze Wicked Hallloween Collection: Roguish Red (orangey red), Immortal (grey shimmer), Glitter Goblin (a micro multi glitter), Cast A Spell (dark green with gold shimmer) and Bizarre Blurple (a shimmer blue purple).

I am not too thrilled with the outcome here, but I suppose it could be worse!  I wanted to use the Wicked collection so I wasn't using the usual black and orange.  -->

Pretty & Polished Candy Corn Color Changing Polish

This is an amazingly fun nail polish!  Candy Corn by Pretty & Polished is orange in the bottle and orange on the nail until it dries to yellow.

If you have a free edge over the nail bed, depending on your body temperature the tips may remain orange, giving you a candy corn ombre.

In different temperatures more of the nail turns various shades of orange and yellow.  Under cold water the entire nail goes back to the original orange.  This picture was taken shortly after being submerged.

Then, they fade back as they dry.

It is quite entertaining to see the color changing throughout the day.  I've worn this polish twice since I got it and that rarely happens.

Pretty & Polished can be purchased here, the etsy shop is open pretty much all the time now.

There are two more Halloween polishes I will be posting soon.  Take a look at the first blog showing Blood Clot.

Pretty & Polished Blood Clot

I'm getting this one in while it is still the third day of October!  Here is my third Halloween polish post, Pretty & Polished Blood Clot.

Here we have multi sized red glitter in a red jelly base, with a wonderfully appropriate name.

I love Pretty & Polished, which can be purchased here and you can follow Chelsea on facebook to keep up to date on new colors and shop openings.  I have a lot of this polish now, and every single one has been fantastic and there is wonderful customer service.

I will have swatches in action of another Halloween Pretty & Polished color in the next couple of days, color changing Candy Corn...it is so cool.
